Ashok Kumar is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) of Political Economy at the University of London.
Ashok received his PhD from Oxford University in 2015 and was a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow from 2015 to 2018. Ashok has sat on the editorial board of the journal Environment and Planning D: Society and Space, and on the editorial collective of the critical geography journal City. He is currently on the editorial board of Historical Materialism: Research in Critical Marxist Theory. He also cohosts the Historical Materialism Podcast.
